nov 2nd, 17 repeats done, 13 grams left, so with 5 grams per repeat, two full repeats left. finished and blocked after 19.5 repeats.

nov 1st, 16 repeats done, seems like i am more than 75 percent done, i hope it blocks out much longer than it is now otherwise i will be a bit disappointed. about 18 grams left in the ball.

oct 22nd, 10 repeats done, used half of the ball, 50 grams left. memorized the full pattern after 4 repeats or so, no need to carry a chart around, nice!

oct 16th 2009 finished two full repeats with the new cast on. this is a fun knit!

oct 15th 2009 swatched scarf width (41 stitches cast on) with us size 6 (4.0 mm) straight needles, seems too loose and not wide enough, will try with an extra repeat and down a needle size (or two, looks like i dont have any us 5/3.75 mm, going down to us 4/ 3.5 mm). i was concerned that this yarn would be too fuzzy for showing off the pattern, aka not enough stitch definition, but it looks pretty darn good. this will be my mother’s christmas present.

in second attempt, cast on 65 (figured out the pattern is 12 stitch repeat + 5 stitches for cast on row), makes 5 repeats across, 2 pattern repeats wider than the scarf (41 cast on), but 2 pattern repeats thinner than the shawl (89 cast on). knitting on size US 4 / 3.5 mm.
