Cast on the tail, soo much fun!
6/1 Am finally getting around to knitting this chook! The pattern is so much fun, and the short row shapings are ingenious.
The breast is starting to shape.
I can’t wait to see how the Peace Fleece felts.
20/1 Still a headless chook, but not for long!!

27/1 Felting! I put henny inside a cotton pillow slip, closing with an elastic band. Put in gentle wash on 60degreees celcius. It wasn’t hot enough, because it only slightly felted.
Second try: 95degrees celcius on normal wash, with a slow spin speed. Worked a treat! Phew!
She’s out drying with some temporary stuffing.
