This is an ingenious design! A quick knit that makes good use of a small amount of yarn, and a design that’s very adaptable for fit or yarn/gauge experimentation.

The directions for the openwork section with crossover rows was not easy for me to follow, but the photos were wonderfully done, and I used my own method to pull yarn along through the holes, which worked just fine.

This project is a wonderful mix of two types of “goat” yarn in contrasting colors! They have different qualities, that play well together.

The dark section used the Sandnes Garn Silk Mohair yarn held double along with a strand of the laceweight “Morning Sun Pygora®”. The light section was made with a single strand of the Fiat Lux Fibers “Old Man” Pygora®.
