Begins with the tubular and the twisted rib brim explained in the pattern, but I didn’t really like the effect of the fluffy pattern (very tedious too, even using k1below) and finally went with a rice stitch : two rows k1p1 two rows p1k1.

The crown uses six p3tog every 4 rows. When I only had 8 sts per section I did k1p3tog 12 times. One k1p1 row, p3togk1 six times. The last 12 stitches are gathered with the thread. Hides the ends well, the hat is totally reversible.
