Notes

I love it, and my teenage daughter also. She borrows it to go to school. :)

My 3 tips:

  1. Cast on with long-tail CO using both tails of the ball, leaving long ends to include them in the fringe.

  2. Determine the lenght you need for one row while knitting the third or fourth row. I pulled out of the ball three open-arm lengths just before knitting the fourth row. I could not finish the row with the pulled yarn and had to pull one more open-arm length. This way I was able to easely take just the yarn I needed when I was using a larger ball and didn’t want to take it with me. Don’t forget to multiply by the number of rows you will knit in this colour and add a little bit more just to be safe. You could measure precisely in yard or centimeters, but then you will have to find your measuring tape or stick each time. Much more convenient to simply stretch out your arms.

  3. Cast off in knitting on the wrong side. As I knotted my fringe in bunch of 4 yarns, I calculated my last rows so that I would have 4 ends of yarn at each extremity, including the ends of the cast-off.

Starting and ending with a blue wollmeise. Has lots of different yarn, even handspun, to obtain texture.
It’s huge!!
Not really sure of the WM colorways (I used one blue and one bourgogne.) Also used some old Regia leftover.

I wanted a 1.80 m scarf at least. Trying to figure how many stitches to cast on was not easy. I think I did 400 or 450. not sure. The result is just the right length. I can count the stitches if you ask very nicely!
Will wight it and photograph it soon.
