I used a tubular cast on for all pieces…tedious but worth it! I really love this pattern. The size I chose was a bit form fitting for me so I never button all the buttons (about halfway instead). The sleeves came out large on my upper arm…this is a common problem for me. I need to be more careful about examining pattern diagrams and reworking sleeves when necessary.
