Wonderful pattern, particularly for one with “footballer’s legs”. Repeat easy to memorise.

Toe + setup = 4cm, 48 rounds until start of heel increases (24 rows = 6cm)

Oooops! Increased to 60 sts (not 56) for heel by mistake… (round 16) discovered halfway through the heel turn and unknitted back to beginning of turn and rejigged turn numbers. A longer, larger heel is no bad thing.

Started calf increases/larger needle on round 9 of repeat 4. Increase every 4th round until round 2 of repeat 5 then every 8th round to a panel of 25 sts.

Seven pattern repeats, 16 rounds of rib, the 84 sts ideally arranged to flow uninterrupted from the back panel and mid-front section. 61g / 256m for first sock.
