My first modification was to use slightly heavier weight yarn than what is called for in the pattern. The result is of course, a denser and heavier fabric. But I liked how it turned out.
I knit for a size 38”, but did a couple of extra increases for the arms, because when I followed the pattern originally, it felt tight in the underarms.
She did mention one correction in her pattern for the side increase portion, please see the design page for that.
Here are a couple that I found:
Bottom edge She writes: “R1: (k1, p1) to end. R2: (p1, k1) to end.” Row 2 should be (k1, p1) to end, in order to maintain her seed stitch edging. This is because row 1 ends with a knit stitch, not a purl stitch.
Begin Pocket Lining
Row 2 should be (k1, p1)3 times, not (p1, k1) in order to maintain seed stitch edging since row one ends with a knit stitch.
It would have been helpful if she referenced stitch counts when starting and stopping sections. I think that the actual writing was a little inconsistent and sometimes I was confused by her wording. If you’re not an experienced knitter that can interpret directions and use your intuition, then this isn’t the pattern for you. I think it’s a great design, but this pattern definitely needs another tech review.
