Notes

June 18, 2011 - started entrelac pattern

June 23, 2011 - fifth row of blocks completed

July 3, 2011 - ninth row completed, did a safety line and took project off needles to measure. Looks like the width is now going to be the length, and with 18 more rows of blocks plus blocking the project it should be lap-ghan size. It looks gorgeous!

Sidebar: my Mom and I had a debate about telling the couple to look after the blanket well given the amount of money spent on it’s construction. What is everyone’s thoughts to this?

July 19, 2011 - nothing beats a freshly wound cake of random noro beauty (see first photo). It makes me excited to keep going… though I know what I wound into the middle, re-pulling it out to see the colours change is why this project is moving so quickly. I will see one of the couple possibly on Sunday, but the due date remains at August 1.

September 3, 2011 - as painful as this is to admit, I had to restart because someone pointed out that I wasn’t doing the triangles on the side… as a result I had what looked like a parachute pannel, tight at the top and bottom and really really big in the middle. Using a scarf pattern to keep this looking good and hope it won’t take the 2 months the first attempt did. maybe it will be a Christmas present instead.

October 15, 2011 - I am about 2 feet completed on the restarted blanket. It feels like it’s taking longer than the first time… we’ll see. It hasn’t been 2 months yet. :)

November 13, 2011 - after a lot of work and thought, I am about 3 feet completed and am pretty sure I am keeping this project for myself. The couple will get his & her scarves or something like that…. and what they don’t know won’t hurt them :)
