Two of my nieces have birthdays within 2 weeks of Christmas. I try every year to be sure to give them a birthday AND Christmas gift.

This year, I gave them a tie on headband that covers your ears with a dense garter stitch fabric. The I cord edging gives a neat appearance and tapers to ties on either end. They can also wear it as a neckwarmer or a belt.

This pattern was my contribution to the January 2010 Phat Fiber Sample Box “Favorite Books”.
