The pattern--by which I mean the actual instructions for creating the booties--works up exactly as the instructions dictate. I made no changes or adjustments to get the booties to come out correctly. The instructions for creating the booties are technically fantastic and produce a very cute final product.

However, the design of the pattern--by which I mean the way the written pattern is laid out and designed by the designer, was frustrating to work with because there was inconsistent spacing between rows, a lot of color-coding that was supposed to help that didn’t show up that well (I printed on an industrial-level printer), and the font for the instructions was a fake-handwriting font that made difficult to easily find my place on the page again.

It’s technically terrific, but the written pattern was frustrating to use because of the above-mentioned issues, and I can only imagine it’s worse for people who have vision problems. I had to backtrack a lot on the first bootie because of these issues, and it made the whole process very frustrating.
