Made with a g-hook and some mystery yarn (I lost the label). Pretty sure the yarn is some sort of nylon blend based on the feel of it.

I worked in the round from the bottom up, doing three rows of scales (so, six rows in pattern), and then working in half-double crochet to the top, trying it on as I went to figure out when to decrease.

I like the crocodile stitch, but I think I prefer it as an edging or when making things like cuffs. I think thinner yarns won’t bulk up quite as much, but for anything that falls into the worsted category bulks up more than I would like over a full garment.
