As for the pattern: Super-easy to follow, and the only change I made was I did 8 double crochets per scallop rather than 5 because I like unquestionable bursts of flamboyance rather than flamboyance that can be missed. Works up perfectly according to pattern. I think my friend and I have about a 2-inch difference in calf size, and these fit us both very comfortably.
