Notes

This project calls for a “J” hook. However, I have a tight stitch, so I’m going with a “K” for the project.

9/17/11 I have received more compliments on this blanket (and it’s accompanying goodies) than any other project. I was worried about the colors at first, especially since the red isn’t the “normal” bright Crayola red (it’s a little darker - more of a brick red). But it’s really, really pretty in this combination.

Um… don’t remember the date that it was finished, but the blanket and booties were joined by an adorable hat - probably my favorite one thus far.

My sweet little nephew was welcomed to the world on 11/11/11 at 11:29 PM, 8 lbs, 11 oz, 20.5 inches long… and welcomed into God’s family on his mama’s birthday, 12/4/11. You are so loved, Nick!

I haven’t taken a recent picture as we’re in the process of moving, but rest assured, Jess… it’s almost done. I have less that 3 rounds to go, and we’re planning to do the bulk of our moving this week. It will be there in plenty of time as long as s/he doesn’t come too early!

I’ve made probably 20 baby blankets in my crocheting time, and I’ve never had a problem with any yarn changes unraveling… until now. And, of course, it was the second row (meaning one off from the very middle of the blanket!). I got it fixed, but I wanted this one for my “niephew” to be perfect. I bought a crochet hook to send along with the rest of the goodies in case mom needs to make future repairs.
