ETA: pattern is up!

01/12/08 meh. hubby thinks light blue is, in fact, feminine (he picked the yarn!) so this hat is mine (fine by me) and a new red and gray one is on the queue for him. if there’s any interest i’ll type up a quick pattern. let me know.

01/03/08 done! i think it’s cute-- i just hope its not too feminine for the work site. i’m pretty happy that i could get a double knit hat done in two days-- considering the first one i made (last year) took about two months and ended up not fitting at all.

01/03/08 egh ok so it wasn’t done in time for work today but i’ll definitely be done in the next few hours. of course i made it harder for myself by making it double knit and adding a colourwork silouette of the toronto skyline… and earflaps… i hope he likes it, my hands hurt!

01/02/08 it’s -26 here in toronto today and that is no fun when you work outside, so i’m gonna knit the DH this and try to surprise him by having it done by the end of the day. its a surprise for me, too, because he picked the yarn and its my first time with variegated. i have no idea how this will look! (i’m not working from a pattern either. i’m just gonna see how it starts to look and then decide on a shape and such…)
