4/11/08: almost done with the body of the hat-- just finished the amagi chart. it turned out a little but but i think it’ll be fine. i’ll hopefully get a chance to finish tomorrow. the cotton yarn is really pissing me off but i’m dealing with it.

4/10/08: from wikipedia: Ama-gi is an ancient Sumerian word (AMA.GI) thought to mean “freedom”. It is believed to be the first instance of humans using writing to represent that concept.

this is going to be another dk earflap hat. i’m trying out some new bind off techniques in the pattern. the theme of this one is freedom-- with ama-gi written on the back in sanskrit and a porcupine on each earflap. they’ll be identical, not mirrored. should be cute!
