This was my project to reacquaint myself to crocheting, which my mother had taught me when I was ten. So, it was only fitting that I had my mother help out; we crocheted together during most visits in the winter of 2012. I used pattern 1 and a plain square, alternating with Mom’s efforts. My mom, who was 82 when we did this, could at this point only crochet single crochets that almost always looked like a circle, so I used them as a base and crocheted my way into a square with each of the circles she gave me. The variations of the square are soley done by yarn color; there are 11 variations of brown & beige in this project.
