07.11.10 Shouldn’t be knitting but I couldn’t resist. Went out and bought some Rowan Cocoon, one of my favourite yarns. Casting on now.

09.11.10 I ended up picking up 122 sts instead of the suggested 118 sts from the inside of the hood. Still divisible by 4 plus 2.

10.11.10 Picked up 106 sts as suggested for the collar. Urgh! Knitting collar on row 9, going to run out of yarn, I’ve been pretty stingy with them too. Looks like I’ll need another skein for the plackets!

13.11.10 Bought another skein, luckily it was the last in the same dye lot. Making plackets now, I’m going to change the pattern’s buttonholes by using TECHknitting’s Tulips buttonholes technique. See Jools’ instructions here or video here. Finished all knitting and sewing. Will block tomorrow then find buttons later this week.

22.11.10 After hunting down buttons at 4 stores, finally found some wood buttons!
