Briefly:

• 4.5mm circular needles for the majority of the knitting, and 5.5mm for binding off
• the instructions for 35″ bust size
• 20 lace pattern repeats for the body
• 18 lace pattern repeats for the sleeve (+ the 1 row of lace pattern from the yoke section)
• off the needles it was 46.5cm (18.25″) from the shoulder to the bottom edge of the bottom band. After washing it was 56cm (22″) so it grew by around 20%.
• I’m contemplating removing the third button and stitching up the button hole because I don’t like how it looks.

And here are my notes as I worked through this project:

24-25/10: Collar and yoke complete. Sleeves separated from body. Began on body lace section. I have a fear that this will be too small but other people who have made it write that they had the same fear too and the cardigan worked out well after blocking.

30/10: Body complete and, as it has grown, it looks and feels like a perfect size (what a relief!). I’ve started on the first sleeve.

1/11: One sleeve done, one to go. It feels bulky in the armpit and I probably should have done some of the sleeve mods suggested on the pattern, but it’s not too bad. When it’s finished, washed and blocked it will hopefully sit well.

5/11: Second sleeve finished, all yarn ends woven in. Jippii! The cardigan has had a wash and I’m waiting for it to dry so I can try it on, sew on the buttons, and take photos.

10/11: Things were busy so I didn’t get around to attaching the buttons until a few days ago.
