Notes

Overall the stitch pattern was easy to remember but I had to refer to the pattern for increases.

The stitch count was much more than I would normally use on a sock but I knit the socks based on the pattern and the fit appears comfortable due to the lack of stretch in the slip stitch patterning.

This seems to be a good pattern for a variegated yarn, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a beginner sock knitter because it expects knowledge on sock construction and it is fiddly.

And I loved the yarn I used - great colour and base.

6 September 2015 - First time doing a provisional cast on and short row toe.

20 September 2015 - Finished! I just need to weight, wash, block and photograph the socks.

The pooling effect on the leg section is due to the large stitch count on these socks. On a vanilla sock I expect the colours to be distributed similar to the foot section, but I don’t mind the effect on the leg at all. These are very bright and happy socks.
