I’ve read a lot of other project notes and my thoughts rely heavily on what other people have done before:

• The chart symbols aren’t standard so check the key to be sure what to do.
• I repeated the lace panel until I was close to using up my 50g ball of yarn, leaving enough for the pick up row.
• I didn’t do decreases on the body, I just used short rows.
• I did the last four rows of the body (the top of the shawl) in garter stitch and then bound off on the right side.

9 June 2016 - I did 31 reps of the lace pattern, then picked up 188 stitches with the grey before switching to the brown yarn.

10 June 2016 - I decided to do the body with wrap and turn short rows for their look, and k3/p3 in between each wrap and turn to keep the shawl shallow. I’m not doing the decreases. Halfway through I’m not sure the body will have enough depth so I’m reducing the wrap and turn frequency by using k2/p2 after each wrap and turn.

18 June 2016 - Finished! After blocking the shawl is around 150cm / 5 feet wide.
