Notes

This was a fun knit and I love the shawl - it’s long enough to wrap around my neck nicely without being too bulky. I found it to be comfortable TV-knitting where I only had to refer back to the pattern on occasion. I’ll be knitting this one again.

My notes from knitting:

I’ve been wanting to give this pattern a whirl for a while and decided I’d try it with my handspun (89g, 311y/285m). It’s a bit thicker than fingering weight but I like the feel of it.

I don’t have enough of the handspun for the whole shawl so I might pair it up with a fingering weight yarn so I’ll need to decide whether I block the lace more aggressively or go up a needle size when I reach the lace section.

16 October - I’ve finished the body section and I have 39g of yarn remaining. It’s taking around 2-3g for two rows in garter so I may end up playing yarn chicken on this one… I have to decide whether to join another yarn now, or later.

20 October - I joined in MCC for the last few rows and kept using the same needles without any troubles. It’s barely noticeable but if you look closely you’ll see the final rows are a darker solid purple. Very happy :) :)
