A basic pair of vanilla socks.

I enjoyed using the yarn and found the colours to be interesting. If I was knitting these again I would reverse the second sock by knitting from the outside of the yarn ball to make the socks less matching, but they turned out super as they are.

Knit with 15cm (6”) HiyaHiya sharps, I cast on more stitches than normal (I like tight socks but these are a gift) and I’m happy with their size.

CO 64st
15 rounds of 2 x 2 rib
55 rounds of stockinette on the leg
18 slip stitch rows for heel
65 rounds of stockinette on the foot (count after the twisted stitch from the heel)
Dec 4 every second round until there are 8st per needle, then dec 4 every round until there are 12st remaining and thread yarn through them to close.
