Notes

This is a hat for my boyfriend. I’m just making it up as I go, not using a pattern particularly, out of yarn I have in stash.

He likes a finer fabric and wants a snug-fitting beanie to keep his ears warm this winter. He doesn’t want it “to roll or have a fold or anything,” so I’ve just done 3 rows of k1, p1 rib in a contrasting color at the edge.

I will note the pattern here as I go along.

Brim:
Long-tail cast-on in CC, 118 sts. Join.
3 rounds of K1, P1 rib.
Body:
Switch to MC, knit in the round until the piece measures 5 inches.
Decrease rounds:
Place marker at beg of round.
k10, k2tog across row.
