Notes

The consensus of those who have knit this pattern is that the socks are too loose. Therefore I cast on 40 sts and I’m using size 6 DPNs. The size seems good; I’m glad I didn’t do 44 sts on 7s!

First one is done.

I picked up my gusset stitches like a crack whore and have a hole at each ankle (knit much?) that I’ll need to either live with or stitch closed.

I went down to 38 sts during the decrease, so didn’t have a multiple of 4 for my cast-off rib and there’s a kk-pp-kk-kk-pp-kk section, but I put it on the bottom.

All in all, kind of a disaster. But now that I understand the joy of wearing socks with flip flops, I’ll probably wear the hell out of them!

Second sock is underway.
