So far so good. This pattern includes charts and written instructions. I like the written to understand what she wants done, then I use the chart. Win Win
This is a far simpler shawl than my first one at this point. That could change in the next chart sections.
Dropped a stitch and it unraveled amazingly fast. Frogged as no lifeline and started again.

I dropped a stitch and it unraveled at the speed of light. Since I was so close to the beginning, I frogged and started again. Would rather do that than run into issues later on when I had much more done. It was quicker to frog than to try and find the dropped stitches and fix them. Especially since it was in the P3tog and P3togtbl section

keep having issues with dropping the last stitch in the st stitch row - frogged roughly 4 times and started again. Put in a lifeline - so far so good :) fingers crossed

I’m loving the way the colours are working out. Not sure I’m in love with the pattern though. It looked different in the pics - more lace instead of texture. I’ll keep going and see what I think when alls said and done I guess .

Finished the 2nd chart and not finished my first skein. As I’m using smaller needles this shawl is smaller than expected. It’s a shawlette in the first place so another repeat is a good idea. I’m going to repeat the 2nd chart - it has no p3togtbl and is more lacey so appeals more to me. Although I think better balance might be achieved repeating the first chart. I think it’ll flow better with 2nd chart repeated

Finished 2nd repeat of 2nd chart; Need to insert lifeline, then to st st rows, and then final chart <3
Wee bit nervous on amount of yarn remaining; I guess I’ll find out when I find out

did 8 rows st st
last chart started

8 rows is a perfect balance for spacing between the two charts. I really like the way it looks. Will be more interesting with the 2 different yarns coming into play now

And I ran out of yarn … oops. I wanted to get an autumnal colour, but apparently everyone else seems to like them as well right now, so I got a heathered chocolate brown from Pretty Skeins. I’m going to go back to my lifeline and start to blend in the chocolate - then finish the edging with this yarn. I’m not going to go nuts and say well maybe I can add another section. That thinking is why I’m short on yarn - which I knew I would be
