11/21: Casting on for the second smallest size with 5” of ease. I want it to be oversized but the next size up seems really huge with 10.5” of ease. That’s 3.5” larger than my Cowichan sweater I wear as a coat… hope this size works out!
11/22: about 1/3 through the back and it seems like it won’t be as loose as I’d like through the hips, casting on the next size up to see how it looks.
11/27: Finished back
12/3: Both fronts finished
12/16: All pieces finished and ready to block
12/20: Started knitting the shawl collar & my needle cord broke! Another is on it’s way but now this sweater is sidelined and won’t be ready for a Christmas debut :(
There is a mistake in the pattern for the One-Row Buttonhole instructions which I verified with Brooklyn Tweed. The instructions say to start with the RS but should say WS.
I ended up going with the 3rd largest size and blocking it a bit longer than specified which took a bit of the width out. It’s definitely a cardigan jacket, which I love.
