Toe-Up Socks: Judy’s Magic cast on, 16 st per needle, K 3 rounds, increased to 32st, every other row.

LOVE how this yarn looks in the wound-up ball! So pretty :)

I think I would only increase to 28 stitches per needle if making for myself. The 32 feels like they are going to be big. But Mom will throw these in the dryer (100% Merino!!) So they will felt for sure. Best to keep them loose.

Dec 4 - getting ready for a road trip. Read Noknitsherlock’s post on Instagram about switching to wooden needles because her hands hurt knitting socks on metal. Got to say, I think I hear angels singing..though that MAY just be the Christmas carols ;)

January 15 - Nick thinks these look like “Blue” all knit up. So I suspect they will be my Velociraptor socks!

58rows for the foot, marker to marker, incl.
held yarn double for the heel flap, 16 rows.
Cuff 60 rows (about 5 inches) from finished gusset (32 st on each needle) to top, 12 rows 1x1 ribbing.

64 stitches turned out to be just perfect. Only a little loose but with washing I think they will fit just right.
