Notes

One can only receive so many emails and links to shawl patterns before the power of suggestion sinks in and you find yourself downloading a pattern and winding skeins of yarn and casting on..

Nothing prettier than winding up a new skein of noro :)

Saw this pattern knit up in a different yarn that was impossible to get. So then I set out on a mission to acquire the 185S it was knit for the pattern photo. No luck. The closest I could get was the 184. It’s pretty, but not the reds, purples and oranges I was hoping for.

This is not a bad thing, just changes WHO the finished shawl will go to. Will decide when it’s blocking I would imagine :)

December 28 - got tired of alternating skeins (not portable and the tangling was making me crazy) so stopped. Kinda like the bigger stripes of colour.
On the needles the dimensions look WAY off. Hope it will sort out in blocking..

Turns out I’m just inexperienced. Didn’t realize the cast OFF edge was the bottom! Dimensions make sense now.

Used this stretchy cast off. Like it very much - though I think I pulled it a bit tight in places.
