Notes

My husband wanted a better mic windscreen. Those foam balls kept falling off, and the fake fur ones cost $25. I knitted this up in an hour, it works great, and cost under $5.

In case you want to make one, here’s how I did it. I decided to knit the windscreen in the round, like a sock. I needed a slightly heavier plain yarn for the edge of the cuff, so I started with a bit of Red Heart “Sport” acrylic yarn that I had in my stash.

With the black yarn, I cast 16 stitches onto size 5 US dp needles. I used the stretchy Old Norwegian Sock cast-on.
I did 4 rounds of K2-P2 ribbing. Then I switched to the furry yarn, and stockinette stitch and to size 8 US dp needles. At 3”, I combined the 16 stitches onto 2 of the needles, then did a 3-needle bind-off.
