Swatch knit, tried reading the chart but kind of messed that up since it is meant to be knit in the round and I was knitting flat, still got a general idea for how the gansey motifs will look so am fine with that.

After 1.5 weeks of working on the stockinette bottom portion of the body I am finally to splitting for the front and the back and the fun part of chart reading! Also this means my wip is becoming more exciting to photograph as well.

Really motivated to finish in time to enter the pompomkal so I blew threw the sleeves! No 2nd sleeve syndrome, yay! I went off pattern for the sleeve decreases, still did the chart the same but decreased the sleeves more gradually throughout the whole sleeve.

Finished all the knitting and weaving in ends, just needs to be blocked. Loved working with Quince and Co. “Tern” which is a blend of Merino and Silk. Very soft and light. This will make a good transitional weather sweater.

Been wearing this 3 days in a row now and has been just wear enough for the fall weather. On a colder day I layered it under my vintage knit waistcoat and that looked good too!
