Decided to just take the plunge and do my first colorwork yoke sweater. The pattern calls for 2x2 rib for the sleeve and body cuffs, which I started with but it looked bad in this yarn so I switched to 1x1, much better now!

Ran out of the poivre colorway so I can’t continue to finish the neck ribbing just yet. De Rerum is not sending orders until January 3, 2017 so I have to wait patiently!

Finally received the Poivre colorway yarn this past week so that I could pick this up again and finish knitting the neck.

I did some free-style short row neck shaping to bring the back higher than the front and decreased more on the neckline to get the neck-hole smaller than the pattern suggests.

I also ended up frogging out the gray zig zag stripe of colorwork in the neck and just transitioned from the MC to the brown color for the neck ribbing. Gives it a more balanced look with the brown in the sleeves.

Spent forever weaving in ends but it is now DONE! Just needs some blocking action. It fits rather perfect and I am pleased with the result.
