I know it is not wise to cast-on another project meant for Mike before I’ve finished his now-neglected cardigan, but I’ve been wanting to work with this stashed Soven yarn for awhile now. Back piece finished, which took about 1 week of knitting a few hours a day to complete. Working the two fronts at the same time now.

Reached the point where I’ve bound off for the 2 front inset pockets.

Knitting both fronts at the same time made it feel like it was going faster! Finished fronts, kitchenered the shoulders together, steam-blocked and measured out where the buttonholes would be. Mike wanted 4 buttons instead of 5 because 5 buttons made it look more cluttered.

Things left to do: knit button band, seam sides, seam button-band on, pick up sts for the armhole ribbing.

Button band finished, sides seamed and armhole ribbing done. Just need to seam on the button band.
