Notes

Zwartbles are one of my favorite breeds of sheep. I was thrilled to find Zwartbles Ireland made yarn from her flock of sheep. I have been following the Zwartbles Ireland vine for quite some time now so really wanted to support the farm and try out the yarn.

The yarn is quite rustic, durable, and sheepy.

This is actually the first yarn I every purchased and it is what began my knitting obsession. I had a sheep obsession first, and naturally it progressed into knitting. I re-taught myself how to knit using this yarn and ended up with a big rectangular garter stitch scarf with many holes and mistakes. Decided to frog it all and stash the yarn for later.

Specifically I love to research about different sheep breeds and small farms and find yarn from their sheep. Zwartbles are a Dutch sheep breed, and living in the Netherlands, I get to see them at local city farms. (Farm-to-needle).
