T11R2 NERDOLOGY- SQUEEE!

My very own Jonathan Creek doll (duffle coat, curly hair and all), because Alan Davies makes me squeee!

Head and hands = Natural
Shirt = Spiced Plum
Trousers = Cobalt
Sneakers = Pepper
Hair = Storm
Duffle coat = Roasted Coffee

Doll measurements:
Arm length to start of hand = 4”
Arm circumference = 2.75”
Chest at fullest = 7”
Total torso length = 5.25”
Neck circumference = approx 3.5”?

Hair:

• Wrapped yarn around lace blocking wire, filling entire length of the wire, then secured each end with a binder clip.
• Wet the yarn and let sit overnight to dry.
• Unwound yarn and cut into 16” lengths by wrapping yarn around a book, stretching the yarn slightly.
• Used the root method of attaching hair with a crochet hook (see photos).
• Do not need to place the strands very close together because the curls add volume and do a good job of hiding the scalp.

I greatly underestimated how much yarn I needed for the hair, so I had to make more. LOTS MORE!

Not making ears because the hair is so incredibly floofy and curly that it would hide them, so why bother?
