These are wayyy too big on the US 3’s that I started knitting them with, so I’ve gone down to 2’s and I will be knitting them smaller. The pattern is more of a guideline at this point and I’ve made several mods:

CO 48 stitches, increasing to 50 stitches after cuff
Knitting stripes in handspun
Planning to add a flip-top for warmth

I plan on knitting a matching hat as a Christmas present, but he only knows about the mittens :)
