Notes

This cardigan has so much going for it. The lace panelling on either side is particularly beautiful and also very easy to memorise. What’s more, it is simple to work out exactly where you left off, once put aside for the night! I adore the gentle shaping over the waist which is so feminine and I love the yarn too. The ultra alpaca feels wonderful to wear, a true snuggly delight and now I think everyone deserves a Lady Marple in their chest of drawers!

The pattern is extremely well written, I just had trouble with the wrapping/turning for the short rows. I watched this and this video several times which, although mostly out of focus, is extremely well explained.

I think the only thing I did differently was knit the sleeves with a 12inch circular needle, rather than use the magic loop method or dpns. It’s an Addi Turbo, and oh my word the thing is incredible!
