My second paper doll sweater… I love so many of the fantastic and creative designs everyone has come up with! I am sure it will not be my last!

I used the chart as is - only adding two additional stitches between the center flower and the facing birds. (One on each side of flower). This gave me a 64 st pattern with five repeats to get 320 stitches … I had to increase 4 to end up with the 324 that the paper doll pattern called for. Was careful to center Perries and birds. I also did the second row of Perries with 156 stitches (as others have suggested) and am happier with the way they look than with my first sweater…..not as stretched.

Another helpful note- with the many mittens etc I have knit, I find that if I set up each double point needle to start the ribbing with a purl stitch (as the first stitch on each needle) you don’t get much “laddering”. Pretty consistent stitches all around.
