Test-knit for Kirsten Kapur.

I love this so much! I’ve made many shawls but this is one of my favorites. I love this shape. Unlike most triangles, this one stays put on me. It is also light and drapey enough to be scarfed.

I was saving the Lichtfaden stuff for something special and I dyed the Plum stuff to match. Sometimes waiting ‘til the last minute pays off.

Unlike my Ulmus, I was happy with my yarn combo on the very first try. :-D

Yarn Usage

Dandy Plum starting weight = 102g or 446 yards
Blue Mahogany starting weight = 105g or 435 yards

post garter section = 82g (used 20g)

Blue
post lace section 1 = 93g
post lace section 2 = 80g
Post lace section 3 = 63g
Post lace section 4 = 41g (used 64g)

Leftovers:
Plum - 37g
Blue - 31g

I used 2 different colored stitch markers (Red= odd rows, blue = even rows) to mark the edging stitches.

I stuck a stitch marker in the center and when the stitches began adding up, I counted outwards (in both directions) in increments of 25. I only did this for the garter section.

I didn’t block this much. It ended up growing much more than my swatch indicated. I just SOAKed it and laid it out flat letting the weight of the yarn open up the lace parts. I opened up the edge eyelets (?) but they didn’t seem to hold
