Notes

I am making this hat on commission.
I am using beautiful Albertine yarn. It is very soft and lovely to work with.
I’ve struggled with the stitch. I found it hard on my hands. It’s better if I keep the tension very loose but it took me a long time to get a rhythm. Like some other knit look stitches eg. Tunisian, I found it easy to overlook a stitch and having to undo about 5 rows more than once, to go back and fix it. I really haven’t enjoyed this project. It took me a lot longer than normal. I found it harder to keep the work, joins and decreasing looking neat and tight also.
However it is done and I only have a pompom to make.
I’m definitely not a great fan of knit look crochet. If you want knitting, why crochet?
Finished. Yay. I made the Pom Pom with the remaining yarn, using two cardboard circles. I still think this old method makes the best looking Pom poms.
