I’m making a pretty wool cardigan for Emmie. The weather is cooler now.

I am using a finer yarn, 4 ply, because I like the colour. I’ve followed the larger size 2 but after measuring my work I realised it would be too narrow for my granddaughter so I undid it and started again with the biggest size. I think it may turn out a bit too big but Em will grow into it.

Had to put this on hold while I made the pompom hat. I’m really enjoying working on it again. I love how fast it grows. Added in another yarn as I didn’t think I would have enough of the merino soft.
I like the two tone effect. It reminds me of spring leaf buds.

I ran out of main colour so left the sleeves a bit shorter. I only left 1sc between the v stitches and sc in the lace row for the bottom of the sleeves. I wanted a bit of a flare. I went down to a 4mm hook for this lace part.

Washed and blocked. The yarn came up super soft. The colour is most like the bottom pictures. The light changed the appearance.
Sewed in lots of ends where I’d joined yarns. Added a big wooden teddy bear button. Done.
