I like this ratty a head better than his predecessor’s. I made it longer and I like the features more.
I didn’t work on him continuously but am now staying with my friend so he will be finished before I go home.
I find that the length of yarn left on the toes doesn’t need to be anywhere as long as the pattern says. Wrapped twice around my hand is plenty long enough for the foot part and any sewing. (I have small hands).
I had to make one foot again because the first lot of toes went out of shape when I darned the ends in.
I needed to make my initial chains a bit tighter so they didn’t pull out of shape later..
The work is a bit fiddly but an easy pattern and well worth the effort.
