Went very freestyle with this…
I wanted an all-over stranded jumper to used up all these odds and ends. I fancied trying my hand at steeking again, and wanted a big boxy fit.

I worked out the gauge from my swatch, measured from an existing jumper, and did the maths to get a stitch count. Some of the colour combinations are more successful than others, but I want this to be a fun, no worrying project, so I’ve decided to just embrace them.
I did a provisional cast on, because I couldn’t even decide how I wanted to do the edgings. They might be ribbing, or I might do some sort of turned hem… in the end I went for a band of garter (note to self, go down a needle size next time!)

I normally work top down, but went for bottom up and decided to steek the sleeve openings and the neck. Sleeves were picked up from the steek and knitted downwards. Again, next time I’d start doing the decreases sooner as they’re a little large around my upper arm.

Overall though I’m pleased with it.
I’ve got a warm, comfy house jumper that used up lots of leftovers, and some of the colour combinations make me smile!

The modelled shot looks dreadful… but my selfie skills were lacking, and the rain just kept on falling so I was lacking in natural light.
