Starting the decreases at the beginning of the second texture block (round 33) instead of round 62 as patterned. Four repeats of the diamond instead of five fits much more snugly around the wrist.

Starting thumb gusset on round 62 and doing increases every four rounds instead of every other for more gradual thumb shaping. Carrying purl rounds into thumb gusset but not the texture blocks. Using pfb for increases on purl rounds instead of m1.

Stopping gusset at 16 total stitches, putting onto scrap yarn at the end of round 93. Not casting on extra 2 for hand, just going with 48. Skipping from round 100 to round 110 for shorter hand portion.

Played yarn chicken on the second one. Won with about 2 yards left. Woof.
