Doing the ribbing sideways in garter because I like how that looks in this yarn. CO 7 with JMCO, will graft at end.

Note: in order to make this actually look like garter all the way around, I actually did purled garter. 43x2 rows of purling, then one final purl row and actually I did a three needle BO at the end so I didn’t have to cut the yarn and weave in more ends.

Added in some kfb increases on both sides because the ears were insufficiently adorable. Red embroidery for the same purpose.

Okay for the kfb increases I was working magic loop so I basically have a marker at BOR and halfway through the round. Every increase round is worked:

  • kfb, k to 2st before marker, kfb, k1, sm, repeat.

After the first increase round, work 1 round with no increases.

After the second increase round, work 2 rounds with no increases.

After the third increase round, work 3 rounds with no increases.

After the fourth increase round, work 4 rounds with no increases.

Fifth increase round was last increase round, then knit until you have length.
