Notes

Finished the last bit of knitting last night. I don’t think I’ll bother blocking, as the yarn is so curly. Any mistakes are well hidden and I’m not sure blocking will do anything to effect the final shape of the piece. Need to find a smooth yarn to use for the seeming and buttons - buttons!!! I already have in mind just what I want. Let’s hope I can track them down…

I cannot overemphasize the importance of stitch markers in this project. DEFINITELY use them to mark the repeats for the shaping of the flounces at the peplum and bottom of the sleeves. Also, I didn’t notice the note in the pattern when I started, but they also recommend marking your shaping increases and decreases along the sides and using the markers to match things up when seeming. An excellent idea. I wish I’d noted that when I started.
