Notes

Used the 4 mm to cast on because even my stretchy cast on is a lil pinchy at times; went down to a 3.25 mm for the rib (my usual DK needle for gauge) but decided to go back up to the 4 mm as most people seem to suggest the pattern runs small.

Well, this was something of a trust exercise. I thought it was broken rib like those Nora bedsocks but couldn’t for the life of me figure how that was supposed to happen with no purl stitches. I checked and no one else had a problem reading the pattern; everyone seems to think it’s wondrrful. I stared very hard at pictures and was still convinced there was a ridge effect but, nope, there was no reverse stocking stitch between them. Curious. I have no idea how a decrease and an increase can make this twisty, ridge, almost ribbed stitch pattern but I’m just going to go with it.

PS. Uneven rib really messes with my head.

Used M1L instead of the yo, circular needles throughout.
