Notes

2/10/12 I decided to make them the same and just roll up the cuff once to make them fit better. I picked up 3 stitches for the thumb instead of 1, though. Happy with how they came out!

1/26/12 Finished the first one! the fingers/thumb part fits well, but between the cuff and start of the thumb increases, there’s too much fabric so it’s kinda baggy near the wrist. on the next one, i think i’ll take out the first 4-5 rows of pattern after the cuff and begin the thumb increases immediately.

1/16/12 they seem like they’ll be the right size. i changed my mind about the tedium too…once i got into the pattern more, it didn’t seem bad.

1/9/12 i cast on for the larger size, but man, they seem pretty small (the cuff, at least). i hope they aren’t too small…

love the way it looks so far, but i’m finding the pattern a bit tedious--rather unlike me, i generally really get into repetition. also, i thought it’d be harder to knit with lamb’s pride on the size 4 and 6 needles, but it isn’t at all, yay!

both the mitten body and thumb charts are read from the left. correction i guess technically they are read from the right, but some wording in the pattern caused me to believe otherwise. apparently, if you’re consistent, they can work out from the left too.
