Notes

i feel it’s important to note: i knit the body of both mittens magic loop method with size 1 metal circulars (addi’s, to be precise). on the first mitten, i used the same method for the thumb, and it ended up way too tight. for the second mitten, i am knitting the thumb with size 2 bamboo double pointed needles. i knit looser with bamboo dpns than i do with metal circulars. i’ll pull out the thumb on the first mitten and re-knit it in this fashion.

i’m not entirely sure why these are taking so long. i guess because they need more attention than the stuff i usually knit. i can’t knit these while watching tv, for example, which is where i do the bulk of my knitting. the ever changing patterns keep me on my toes.

started in toronto. took me a while to get the thumb on the first one.
