Notes

3/20- in conclusion: stockinette portion- size small. lace- size large. worked like a charm! i have enough left for a crocheted flower. maybe. i wet blocked and pinned it out with tons and tons of pins and a yard stick to make sure it’s straight. i love it. love love love.

oh, yeah, and because i am a firm knitter, i went up to a size 6 to knit the final row, and a size 8 for binding off. there are few things more frustrating than heaving a sigh of satisfaction as you finish a long project only to find you bound off too tightly. ^_^

3/17- i’ve been peeking at other people’s ishbels, and the lace craving hit. so i’m using one of my pet skeins, the glorious blue moon socks that rock mediumweight in 24 karat. oh, how i love it!

most people do the small version of the shawl with this yarn… i increased in stockinette to the point where the smaller one starts the lace pattern. i have finished a and b, and am almost finished with a again. because other people who used this yarn had leftovers, and i’m using smaller needles, i am going to apply a lifeline at the end of the second a, and try to do all of the lace bits for the larger shawl… here’s hoping!
